Easter
We hope that everyone had a nice Easter holiday. Kevin's extended family has a rather large gathering every year, so we nade the trek out to Houston to celebrate with them. It ended up being a whirlwind of a trip but we greatly enjoyed ourselves. We even managed to spend some time brushing up on our Texas history by visiting the San Jacinto monument and the battleship Texas. Didn't even know that existed in the middle of nowhere! All we ever remember is the Alamo :)
In other news, Laura is finally going to be leaving the house! Yes, she found a new job working at an architecture firm here in Austin. We are both very excited for the social aspect and for the opportunity to work in a real design firm. Of course she doesn't get any leave for the first 6 months so once again our honeymoon is being postponed... but we will make it to Europe someday!!!!
But in the more immediate future, Laura's family is coming to town this weekend to attend the wedding of a close family friend. It will be a quick visit but we are really looking forward to spending time with them and sharing all of the cool spots around town that we have found so far.
Until we speak again, enjoy the beautiful spring weather and check back often for pictures!

April
As you may have noticed, our new niece has finally arrived! Emeri, her mommy, her big brother, and her dad are all doing quite well. We're just sad that we don't live closer so that we can see them more. Luckily she will be making her first trip down to Austin at the end of the month and we will be able to get reaquainted.
We also are proud to report thatwe were part of the world's largest dog walk this weekend! Yep that's right, we (along with 1850 other pets and owners) will now be able to achieve Laura's lifelong wish of being in the Guiness Book of World Records. The 3 mile walk was definately an interesting and fun experience with the proceeds going to the Texas Hearing and Service Dogs organization. All in all it made for a very good time for man and dog.
